Cynthia Fuller-Kling

Cynthia is the founder of the Fuller Method, an approach to movement, form and function grounded in mindfulness and respect for the natural world. For over four decades, she has shaped and facilitated opportunities to be present - whether through her practice as a yoga teacher and yoga therapist, modern dancer and choreographer, photographer, avid home gardener and design enthusiast.

Cynthia has been teaching yoga-based classes since 1983 and has been a yoga therapist since 2018 through the American Viniyoga Institute 1,000 Hour Certification. Her practice draws on her extensive background in modern dance, the Alexander technique, Pilates, meditation, and most recently the Viniyoga tradition. In both private and group sessions, Cynthia guides students to access the deep physiological and structural benefits of optimizing the movement of the body with the movement of the breath.

Cynthia’s eye for movement also translates into her longtime passion for photography. With her intuitive sense and appreciation for light, details and lines, she finds ways to illuminate natural relationships between the elements. Cynthia’s photographs were featured in the 2023 and 2024 Salon Des Beaux Arts exhibition in Paris, hosted by the Societe Nationale Des Beaux Arts. At the 2024 exhibition, Cynthia's photograph "4:56pm" was awarded with the Prix Coup de Coeur, selected by Jean Larivière.

Originally from Toronto, Cynthia has spent the past forty years living across the Northeast, Pacific Northwest, Midwest, and back to New York, now settled in Tappan with a beautiful sunlit studio. In all of her homes, she designed and cultivated robust gardens and landscapes with a commitment to native plantings. Her current home has seen the greatest transformation of concrete slabs into established gardens and a midcentury modern gut renovation. She is excited to share this design evolution with friends and clients.
